Handling of Complaints Regarding Academic Integrity and Academic Ethics Violations
The Editorial Board of the Journal strives to maintain high standards of publication quality and takes very seriously any violations of academic integrity and academic ethics, including but not limited to data fabrication or falsification, plagiarism, authorship falsification, and other misconduct.
All authors and co-authors of articles bear personal responsibility for adhering to the principles of academic integrity and academic ethics. The Editorial Board reserves the right to retract publications in case of detection of serious violations of academic integrity and ethical standards.
If you are aware of any violations, please inform the Editorial Board in writing (by email) at gidro@onu.edu.ua. The complaint must be clear, specific, and supported by appropriate evidence.
Review Mechanism
The Editorial Board will acknowledge receipt of the complaint within 5 working days and commence an investigation that will last up to 30 working days. We will follow the relevant COPE guidelines to guide this process. If the allegations are proven, the journal will take appropriate action, including:
- Immediate rejection of the manuscript or retraction of the published article;
- Publication of an official statement in the journal with a detailed description of the nature of the misconduct;
- Notification of the authors' institutions and relevant academic bodies;
- Imposition of a ban on the author(s) from submitting articles to the journal for a certain period.
The results will be communicated to the complainant and, in cases of confirmed violations, to the author(s) of the article.
